Elona Jane Carr (nee Flowers) of Shamong, NJ, Born September 1, 1927, died December 24, 2018. Age 91 and beloved wife of the late Daniel F. Carr Sr. for 40 years. She then was a loving companion to Samuel Gross for over 25 years. Survived by her son Daniel F. Carr Jr. and his wife Donna of Wilmington, NC, her grandson Shawn Gleason and his wife Katherine and 2 great granddaughters, Maeve and Scarlett of Snowmass Village, CO.

Daughter Patricia Jane Fialkovich and her husband Albert of Surf City, NJ and Bonita Springs, FL. Her grandson Albert Fialkovich Jr. and his wife Jessica of Denver, CO., her granddaughter Jenna Jane Miller, her husband Donald and 2 great granddaughters, Jordan Jane and Julia Jane of Tuckerton, NJ.

Son Shaun E. Carr and his wife Anne of Gilford, NH. Her grandson Shaun and his wife Kiersten, great granddaughters Samantha and Amelia of Berwick Maine. Her granddaughter Carolyn Carr and great granddaughter Reese and great-grandson Landon of Dover NH. Grandson Dylan Carr of Denver CO and grandson Danny Carr of Gilford NH. Nephew Richard Flowers and his wife Theresa of Cherry Hill, NJ.

As a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, she worked for Bell Telephone, Cherry Hill School system, Strawbridge & Clothier and represented Avon. Jane was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star of NJ and become worthy matron in 1965. In 2005, she celebrated 50 years of service with the Fairview Chapter No. 219 and presented the ”Symphony of Angels” honor. She was an avid Bowler in Cherry Hill and Medford (avg 145) and in 1999 she participated in NJ Senior Olympics winning awards.

She was the Matriarch and rock of our family for decades, gifting us with traditions, values and lessons. She always loved visiting her shore house in LBI, entertaining family and friends. You are blessed if you tasted her famous Pound Cake, Blueberry Pie, Meatloaf or kidded her about meal portion sizes. She liked to play games, cards, and recently Mahjong. Never once did she display her anger, her gift was making others smile or laugh. She loved to laugh, have fun, and was a wonderful mother, mother in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, Aunt, friend... She touched many lives in a way that is absolutely unforgettable and imparted wisdom on all of us and told us to do things her way because it was the right way. Yes she was 91 and she lived a great life but that does not diminish the magnitude of our loss. We had her for that long which means there’s that much more of her ingrained in us and around us that will be so deeply missed. Our dearest Jane has led the way and the angels are rejoicing her arrival!
