Obituary for Nicholas R. Sacco

Nicholas R. Sacco of Marlton, NJ, died May 26, 2017. He was 92. Beloved husband of Edna Elizabeth (nee Bowers). Loving father of Beverly Rota (Tony) of Williamstown, NJ; Nancy Bowen (Tom) of Egg Harbor, NJ; and Kim Calkin (Jack) of Millville, NJ. Devoted grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 9.

Nick served his country during WWII. Like many of the brave young men of the time, he volunteered shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He joined the U.S. Navy and was assigned to the Pacific Theater. After serving 4 years, he returned home to marry the love of his life Edna with whom he spent 71 years. Before retirement, Nick was employed with RCA in Camden for 37 years as a quality control inspector. He enjoyed skiing in the Pocono's, visiting close friends in Florida and his greatest pleasures were spending sunny days with his family on Wildwood Beach and making people laugh. The family would like to thank everyone at Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice for being our Angels on earth.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday morning 10:30 AM to 12 noon in the Schetter Funeral Home 304 W. Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. Funeral service 12 Noon. Entombment Locustwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
